Comments (English): The Andes hostel, aside from being a very well run estblishment with an excellent, attentive staff, is located in the Belle Artes-Lasteria districts of the city, the metro stop just across the street and a wonderful atmosphere with a decidely French and European feel. The hostal is also a mere four to five blocks from the main Plaza and Correos and two excellent Museums: Precolumbain Art and National Museum of history. Small, intimate cafes abound and there are many convenience stores and a supermercado in the immediate area for those who wish to prepare their oun meals in the fine Andes Hostal kitchen. One can also easily walk to the two cerros. And the Alemeda bus station is a short cab ride away. This stop is a gem, with big screen TV featuring ESPN and CNN and a pool table in the lobby. There is always someone at the desk to monitor the security lock on the entrance. Internet is available in the lobby are for fee, but the area, hostal included, is a Wifi zone.
